One of the things that I believe are truly universal with mothers are the anecdotes that they speak to their children. My mother was keen on letting me know that anytime I messed up in school or didn’t do my chores in the house, she was perfectly capable of eliminating me from this very Earth.
“I brought you into this world, and I’ll take you out of it if I have to! Now, clean your damn room!”
So when the news came down the email that Derrick Rose was going to do a signature shoe named after his mama, Brenda, I had to think that D-Rose had given himself some leeway on any random threats after not taking out the trash. “Brenda” is a bold red colorway of the shoe and represents family for Derrick and is his mother’s favorite color. Check out the video of Rose introducing the new adiZero Rose 2.5 and peep the photos of the “Brenda” kicks at the bottom.
The adizero Rose 2.5 “Brenda” will be available February 9 at Shopadidas.com for MSRP $110. The shoe will roll out in three additional colorways through April, so stay tuned to the Adidas Basketball Facebook page for exclusive images and content. The home and away colorways are on sale, starting tomorrow.
