16 years ago, the one-man wrecking crew that is known around the world as Allen Iverson, was a sophomore at Georgetown University. Under the tutelage of Big John Thompson, the Hoyas would return to their glory days as Iverson and Co. got all the way to the Elite 8 in the 1996 NCAA tournament. Rocking the patent leather Jordan XI’s, rocking a taper fade with no braids and the iconic Hoya blue and gray…it all seemed like a blur back then. We all know now how things turned out for A.I. past ’96, but Iverson’s March Madness run was a fun one.
