Funniest Sports Celebrations In Recent Memory
Et cetera, Soul On Ice, Sports — By K. Masenda on November 14, 2012 at 11:16 amMonday Night Football featured the Kansas City Chiefs traveling up to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers, and while I had absolutely little-to-no desire to watch the game, I woke up Tuesday morning wishing that I did. However, it wasn’t because I missed an amazing game. No, it was due to an act after a sack of Big Ben Roethlisberger that had me regretting going to bed early last night (the incident is described at the end). Once I saw what transpired, this post came to life.
It would be impossible for me to name the absolute funniest sports celebrations ever, so what this will consist of is six of the funniest in recent memory and you, the people, are welcome to chime in with your picks as well.

This was an absolutely tremendous read and incredibly fun/hilarious. Nothing beats a great/funny celebration.
I’ll tell you the most hilarious one you missed though: T.O. doing the Ray Lewis Dance against the Ravens. That was pure genius. And flawless execution.
When a Niner, Owens could do (almost) no wrong, so when he forced his was not just out of the Bay, but Baltimore (how we forget he was originally supposed to have been a Raven), I did not look forward to this game. However, that celebration was spectacular.
Such an awesome post lol.
Deion returning to ATL will never not be great, funny, legendary or any other adjective you want to use to describe it.
No hockey? No soccer? Hmmm
These were all great picks, and I’m reminded once again of why I LOVED Deion so much! LOL
For the puckheads who may not admit to missing him right now, I submit the name of one Alexander Ovechkin. Among the many, there is always the one that makes me smile for its sheer absurdity, the “Stick on Fire”.
Nah, for the best recent hockey celebration, you gotta go with Artem Anisimov and his NHL Hitz style sniping:

I’m surprised we don’t see that celebration more often, but watching it live, I HOWLED!
The NHL… when it decides to return (grumbles)… should go right ahead and give players carte blanche to celebrate any and everything.
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO….that one’s pretty good.

I think of this entire list, I enjoy the Buzz Williams one the most. It’s so goofy and great and unexpected coming from a coach.
Buzz is no exception to the rule: If you go to West Virginia, people will throw things at you.
