30 Years Later, The Nike Air Force 1 Is Still Alive and Kicking

Having a broken leg can actually have a few benefits.

I've had to do a bunch of traveling over the last few weeks, and doing it with a broken leg isn't the easiest thing in the world to do. However, one benefit of me having to pack is that I'd only have to pack left shoes. Trust me, I know it's an odd thing to notice, but, MAN, did it help with packing my luggage. Of course, the other thing that helped with only being able to wear left shoes was an old pair of Air Force 1's I hadn't rocked in a long, long time. I didn't rock the pair because the right shoe has an epic scratch/smear on it that has kept those kicks in the back of my closet, but since I had no need to wear to wear both shoes...I'd officially won.

It's funny how much the rocking a pair (or in my case, one) of Uptowns can start a conversation. If you wear almost any pair outside of the white-on-whites, then folks want to know where you got them from and how long you've had them. Works well with women, too.

The shoe has always been iconic, and I encourage you to dust off an old pair, or go get you a new pair for the Summer. 30 years in the game, and ain't a damn thang changed. You got a favorite pair? Tell us about 'em in the comments section.
