There are two football teams in this world that I despise. The Dallas Cowboys and Tottenham Hotspur.
Somehow, in some glorious way, the folks over at Saturday Night Live were able to dream up a skit in which a Texas football coach dressed up in coach speak, Bill Parcells-ian shorts, and a total disregard for the football that's typically played across the pond (soccer, y'all) and in 4-plus minutes of comedy gold we can all watch Jason Sudekis play Coach Ted Lasso, who was inexplicably hired to coach English Premier League soccer club Tottenham Hotspur.
Per SNL:
Coach Lasso is a Football coach born and raised in Texas. He's just arrived in England to coach in the Premier League and he's realizing.....it's football, just not as we know it.
All hail Jason Sudekis for playing the role of Coach Ted Lasso. I'm not sure why a movie isn't already in the works for this, let's make it happen.
