It's easy to say that life isn't fair, but in the case of watching Baron Walter Louis Davis hoop, it's truly not fair that we rarely got to see the L.A. legend hoop at the height of his superpowers.
If you didn't know, during Game Four of the first round of the playoffs between the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat, Davis dislocated his right knee cap while dribbling down the court. Not being cruel, but it was a disgusting thing to see. Not because the injury itself was gruesome, but goodness gracious, it seems that the man sold his soul to the devil to have such phenomenal ability, yet his body continues to break down before his very eyes. It just doesn't seem fair.
I share with you a highlight mix of Baron Davis in his days at UCLA. It was my first introduction to the man many would later come to know as "Boom Dizzle" or "Too Easy" at Rucker Park. Realize that this man tore his ACL his freshman year in Westwood and was still able to do work as a Bruin.
