Starting Lineups: The Elbows of Ronaldo, 'Bones' Jones and Metta World Peace

What a wild weekend in sports that was. From the NHL playoffs going "Bash Brothers" on us, to Manchester United and Everton giving us a whale of a game, to the Red Sox fan booing Bobby Valentine into oblivion, it seemed like something awesome was taking place every single moment. Of course, when you get to the office, school or any other place of social interaction Monday morning, there will be three things that everyone will probably want to talk about.

  • Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid Win "El Clasico" vs. Barcelona: Trust, the narrative of Lionel Messi and Barcelona playing some of the most beautiful ball in the world is well-deserved. Messi scores two, three, four...five goals in a given game. Unreal. However, let it be known that Cristiano Ronaldo is leading La Liga in scoring, but his Real Madrid squad now has a seven-point lead with four games to go over rival Barcelona with the 2-1 win at the Nou Camp. Ronaldo's shot just outside the elbow of the box in the second half was majestic. Well done Los Blancos.
  • Rashad Evans wanted no parts of Jonny "Bones" Jones elbows: I started losing count how many times Bones kept walloping Evans with those devastating elbows. Rashad found out the same thing that Shogun Rua and Rampage did previously: Jones is unfair. He's longer, as strong, as quick, and more gifted athletically than any fighter at 205 pounds. Between GSP at 155, Spider Silva at 185, and now Bones Jones at 205...we might have three unbeatable guys at three different classes. Talk about parity.
  • I see your "Bones" Jones elbow, and I raise you MWP's elbow of death: James Harden was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Ron Artest a.k.a. Metta World Peace a.k.a. Ron-Ron decided to celebrate and have no regard for human life in the process. Seriously, I've never seen anything like that in my life. Check the GIF if you missed it, but I'd rather not look at it anymore.
