The last time fans were gifted with a Tame Impala album was back in 2015, however speculation came that a new project was on the horizon when the band teased new music in mid-March. Well as fans get ready to trek to Indio, Calif. for the first weekend of Coachella 2019, the festival headliners are back with a new single, "Borderline."

Tame Impala performed the song for the first time last month as musical guests on Saturday Night Live. Upon first listen, "Borderline" gives the smooth, hazy sound that was evident on the band's last project, Currents. Throughout the song, frontman Kevin Parker questions the trust and commitment in his relationship, while wondering if he's worthy of real love. At some point, listeners may forget about the sad lyrics due to the psychedelic production that makes for a carefree dance track.

This has been a trying week for many, especially in the wake of the death of Nipsey Hussle. Some may wish on getting the winning lottery ticket, but maybe you should just bet on yourself. Invest in you and yours. And after you've put in the hard work, get in your chill vibe bag for the weekend and put Tame Impala's "Borderline" in the rotation and check out this week's pertinent reading material:
