One of the greatest aspects about EDM is the amount of collaborations with artists from a completely different sound realm to a make a club hit. Producers Skrillex and Boys Noize are known to work with some of the best in the business and this time around they recruited Ty Dolla $ign on their latest single, "Midnight Hour."
This isn't the first time these artists have collaborated together. Skrillex and Boys Noize previously released a joint EP earlier this year, while "Midnight Hour" is the third collaboration this year between Skrillex and Ty Dolla $ign.
As fans continue to wait for Ty Dolla $ign's next album, he's undeniably been a feature king since his last solo project in 2017. With a sound that typically caters to the R&B and hip-hop crowds, his smooth vocals float effortlessly across the "Midnight Hour" dance production. When the song begins, a piano is backing Ty's verse, making it seem like the track could be a slow jam. However, in proper Skrillex and Boys Noize fashion, the producers soon bring their dynamic mix of dubstep and house to Ty's R&B wave, making it a solid dance track for clubs everywhere.
If the weekend calls for late nights, strobe lights or fun and games at a global poker school, put "Midnight Hour" in the rotation and be sure to check out this week's pertinent reading material:
