Just two years after releasing his third album 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time, rapper Big K.R.I.T. returns with his highly anticipated project K.R.I.T. IZ HERE. On one of the album's standout tracks, K.R.I.T. teams up with friend and fellow southern rapper J. Cole as they trade bars on "Prove It."
Cole has given his fans quite an impressive feature run since 2018 after hopping on tracks with artists such as Jay Rock, 6LACK, Ari Lennox, and Young Thug, now he's adding Big K.R.I.T. to his list of collaborations. Let's just say, Cole is batting 1.000 on every single feature and he's showing no signs of slowing down. Cole uses "Prove It" to tell about his fandom for K.R.I.T. and his appreciation for one of his biggest supporters.
K.R.I.T. IZ HERE comes as a sequel to Big K.R.I.T.'s 2010 mixtape K.R.I.T. WUZ HERE, proving the growth of his craft since his underground days. K.R.I.T. and Cole both started their early careers during the mixtape era, and this track showcases how two young veterans have elevated their artistry.
