Album Of The Year AND Soundtrack Of The Year? Travis Scott Serves As Executive Producer For NBA 2K19

After heating up the charts with his latest No. 1 album ASTROWORLD, rapper Travis Scott is taking his talents to another realm: NBA 2K19.

Because the hottest tracks are what get people hyped and motivated to play the game, it was only right for 2K to enlist Scott as the executive producer for the NBA 2K19 soundtrack. Scott is known for being a huge fan of the Houston Rockets, (word to his hometown), his role in the game is a way for him to put his mark on one of his favorite sports. The tracklist features 30 songs including Scott himself, along with artists such as BROCKHAMPTON, Bruno Mars, Dilated Peoples, Fall Out Boy, and Lil Uzi Vert.

Scott took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce the news with a clip as he’s being interviewed by 2K19 cover star LeBron James. When asked about his role on producing the soundtrack, Scott replied, “This is an honor. I always like the chance to curate music to fit a lifestyle and 2K is definitely a lifestyle.”

In addition to Scott personally selecting the songs, he'll also appear in the game as himself. When James asked him on the meaning of being part of the 2K franchise, he replied, "It means a lot, cause you know it reaches a lot of people in different communities, so to be able to be in the game, it just inspired me."
