I'm going to be perfectly honest here. Serena Williams is probably the greatest women's athlete I've ever seen, and she's definitely one of the best athletes period. When it's all said and done, she'll go down as one of the all-time tennis greats, most likely as the greatest women's tennis player who ever lived, if she isn't there already.
Tomorrow, she goes for her sixth Wimbledon title and her 21st Grand Slam title. As the No. 1 seed, she's a heavy favorite to topple surprise Wimbledon finalist Garbiñe Muguruza, the 20th seed in the tournament. It would surprise exactly no one if Serena takes care of business and continues to add to her legacy.
When you have an athlete as remarkable as Williams, people naturally become curious on how that person stays in shape. Turns out, Serena experiments with all forms of working out. Take, for instance, her dalliance into pole dancing. This one is for our editor-in-chief and Justin Tinsley's short-time boss.
Tomorrow, Williams will put her fitness to the test once more, looking to own Centre Court yet again. The smart money says she'll do just that. And chances are she'll do a little dance to celebrate at one point or another. She's into that sort of thing:
Enjoy the Wimbledon championship matches this weekend, and appreciate the greatness that is Serena Williams.
