After the contentious presidential election, smiles, laughter and exhilaration were few and far between. That was until Saturday. While the agony from Tuesday still simmered, a dose of suspense, laughter and joy was injected for college football fans far and wide. There was a plethora of games that kept fans glued to the television. Many teams suffered their first losses of the season, causing fan bases to need a chill pill, while the upsets got the rest of the world up off their couches in excitement.
Oh, and Dave Chappelle made his anticipated return to the stage as he hosted "Saturday Night Live," while A Tribe Called Quest joined Chappelle on the SNL lineup. Speaking of A Tribe Called Quest, the legendary hip-hop group released its last studio album, titled We Got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service.
To pay homage to ATCQ, we traveled back to listen to some classic songs to elucidate Saturday’s zany feeling in the domain of college football.
'1nce Again'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLlZ7mjHPRsOnce again, the Ohio State Buckeyes are looking like a well-oiled machine after defeating the Maryland Terrapins 62-3. For the second week in a row, OSU defeated a Big Ten school by the same score. Last week's victim was Nebraska and the Terrapins joined in the Big Ten hall of shame. Also for the second week in a row, J.T. Barrett scored four total touchdowns, spearheading the Buckeyes' potent offense. In addition to Barrett's success, H-back Curtis Samuel continues his wildly successful season as he is the only player in FBS with over 600 yards receiving and rushing.

As it looks, the Buckeyes are in line to secure a playoff spot. But before the celebration begins on High Street, they will have to win out and conceivably need help from Rutgers or Michigan State as they look to unseat Penn State from atop of the Big Ten East.
'Can I Kick It'
Can I kick it? I can honestly say that I can't, but there are a few kickers in college football who can. Pitt Panthers kicker Chris Blewitt almost blew it after missing an extra point and field goal in the earlier stages of the game. When it appeared that all was lost for the Panthers, head coach Pat Narduzzi gave the senior a kiss of confidence that led him to hit the game-winning field goal against then No. 2 ranked Clemson Tigers.
The luck of the kicker sustained its relevancy as Iowa’s Keith Duncan nailed a 33-yard kick that sent the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines back to Ann Arbor with the Michael Jordan crying face.

As we know, kickers are known for their shortcomings, but for one weekend, two delegates of one of sports most maligned positions were the talk of campus for good reason.
I guess the laces were out.
'Keep It Rollin'
The Alabama Crimson Tide kept it rolling as Bama defeated Mississippi State 51-3 in the battle of Highway 82. Freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts gashed through the Bulldogs defense for over 400 total yards and five total touchdowns. In addition to his video game-like performance, he entered the record books as he became the first quarterback in Alabama history to throw for 300 yards and run for 100 yards in the same game.
To no surprise, Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide are hitting their stride as they near the end of the season. With two regular-season games left against the Chattanooga Mocs and Auburn Tigers, their road to the SEC title and College Football Playoff appears that it will be an easy ride for the tide.
'Scenario'
Here we go yo, here we go yo, so what, so what's the scenario? Many teams' outlooks on the College Football Playoff are unclear after this weekend's disaster. Three of the top four teams lost, but it gets muddled from there. With the CFP rankings set to come out Tuesday, it’s likely that Ohio State will jump into the top two.
After Alabama and Ohio State, several teams will joust for the last two spots. Clemson, Washington and Michigan are all one-loss teams that have a legitimate shot in making the top four.
Louisville, who is having a midseason resurgence, will have something to say about crashing the CFP party. Outside of Alabama, there are five one-loss teams that have a case to make the top four.
Seems a bit crazy, huh? Wait, there’s more.
With Michigan losing to Iowa, Penn State owns the tiebreaker over Ohio State in the Big Ten East. If the Nittany Lions and the Buckeyes win out, Penn State will play Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game, leaving OSU out. If Michigan wins out, the Wolverines will make the trip to the Big Ten title game.
In two years, it's a precedent that Power 5 conference champions make the CFP. As it looks, that claim may be no more. If Ohio State finishes the season No. 2 in the playoff poll without a Big Ten title, things may get scandalous for teams on the outside looking in.
To add more confusion to the fray, two-loss teams such as Oklahoma and Wisconsin have a shot to join the CFP party as well, and chaos could reign supreme.
