Jamie Foxx Confirms His Role In The Mike Tyson Biopic Produced By Martin Scorsese

You read the title, and you're here. This is NOT a drill, it's the real deal.

On Thursday, Jamie Foxx was interviewed on The Breakfast Club talking about his new music (which I would co-sign for anyone in need of a late night soundtrack) and fatherhood, but then he dropped this bomb on the world:

I just went in with Paramount and Mike Tyson and I'm going to do the Mike Tyson story. [...] To be in the same room pitching Mike Tyson to Paramount, Mike Tyson on one side, I'm on the other side doing Mike Tyson at the same and Martin Scorsese at the helm. This will be the first boxing movie that Martin Scorsese has done since Raging Bull, so that's the thing where you say...okay, that's the one.

I'm already prepared to drop everything I'm doing to watch this when it comes out. Listen to the full conversation about Foxx, Tyson and Scorsese below for more.

Sidenote: What made me chuckle in the Foxx interview was him recalling the story of telling jokes about Mike Tyson and not knowing Iron Mike was in the room. For the man to be able to get them jokes off when finding out that Tyson was in there deserves the biggest salute of all-time. Why? Because if those jokes weren't funny, Tyson probably would've murked Jamie Foxx and then we'd never have got the chance to witness movie magic like Bait and Booty Call.
