Starting Lineups: The 2012-13 Premier League Season Starts Tomorrow, You Ready?

The beginning of football season is upon us on Saturday.

Folks....relax. I'm talking about what you Americans disrespectfully call "soccer." Everyone else in the world knows this great game as football.

(Wait....what? I'm American? I am? Oh....)

Anyway, the beginning of the Barclay's Premier League season kicks off on Saturday morning. For many football fans, Saturday will bring a time where its okay to get up early, eat inappropriate food, drink way before 5 o'clock and talk crazy to fans of opposing teams. Damn, this sounds like American football. Checkout the odds (courtesy of OddsChecker) on who has the best chance of winning the Premier League this season.

  • Man City: 5/4 (This should be lower, they have the great Mario Balotelli. Greatest troller ever.)
  • Man United: 2/1 (Fuck you, Robin van Persie)
  • Chelsea: 5/1 (Champions League winners, can they find the magic in EPL? Nope.)
  • Arsenal: 14/1 (Fuck you, Robin van Persie)
  • Liverpool: 25/1 (Can LeBron's magical run crossover into his ownership reign at Liverpool? Nope.)
  • Tottenham: 33/1
  • Newcastle: 150/1
  • Everton: 250/1

If you can't tell, I'm upset that Robin van Persie joined the other Benedict Arnolds and left Arsenal to set sail for some other powerful English side. I'm going to drink now. Let us know your thoughts on who you think will take it all this season, and enjoy your pertinent reading material for Friday. Enjoy the weekend, everybody.
