Erik Spoelstra made strategic adjustments on defense to help Miami limit Nuggets guard Jamal Murray to just 18 points in Game 2. Game 3 though, the Heat had no answers as Jokic and Murray had a historic game with both throwing up a triple-double. The outlook is bleak for the Heat and if they go down three games to one this series looks to be over.
Can the Heat take control of the series?
The Miami Heat won game 2 and looked like they had figured out how to defend the Nuggets. Long series are full of adjustments though and that game 2 adjustment fizzled out in game 3 as the Nuggets adjusted and saw a huge game from Jokic and Murray as they combined for over thirty points each and a triple-double.
The Heat need a great game from Jimmy Butler to have a shot at winning but most importantly they need to once again find the answer as to how to defend the Nuggets, especially Jokic and Murray.
Will the Nuggets bounce back?
Jokic and Murray looked unstoppable in game 3 and more importantly, the entire Denver team dominated the glass on both sides of the court. If the Nuggets continue to play this way they will win the first NBA title in Nuggets history.
Any donuts about how good Jokic is have been answered, he is the best player in the NBA and it looks like he will win his first World Championship in a matter of days.
